Everyone needs a message of encouragement, especially in our troubled times.

In My Father’s House, is a message based on John chapter fourteen.

When Jesus told the disciples that He was going to leave them, they expressed dismay, but He assured them (and us) that everything would be well.
He spoke about the place He is preparing for us. This place is very real. It has physical dimensions and is measurable. The house Jesus spoke of is not just a “room” as often described, but speaks of an inheritance.

In this presentation, we look at those matters, including an analysis of the “last supper”, Passover, betrothal and weddings.
They relate to us today.

The parable of the sower found in Mark chapter four is possibly more important that you think.

It is often misunderstood, but Jesus said if we understand this parable, we could understand all parables and more...

What we share can open up scripture for you.

The bible spoke volumes about the coming Messiah, starting in Genesis where we read:
Now the serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild beasts that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say: You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?” The woman replied to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the other trees of the garden. It is only about fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden that God said: ‘You shall not eat of it or touch it, lest you die.’ ” And the serpent said to the woman, “You are not going to die, but God knows that as soon as you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like divine beings who know good and bad.” When the woman saw that the tree was good for eating and a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable as a source of wisdom, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave some to her husband, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened and they perceived that they were naked; and they sewed together fig leaves and made themselves loincloths.
They heard the sound of the Lord God moving about in the garden at the breezy time of day; and the man and his wife hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. The Lord God called out to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” He replied, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.” Then He asked, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat of the tree from which I had forbidden you to eat?” The man said, “The woman You put at my side—she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done!” The woman replied, “The serpent duped me, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the serpent,
“Because you did this, More cursed shall you be Than all cattle And all the wild beasts: On your belly shall you crawl And dirt shall you eat All the days of your life.
I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your offspring and hers; They shall strike at your head, And you shall strike at their heel.” Genesis 3:1-15

From that moment on, many prophecies spoke of His coming. Some spoke of a forerunner, who was John the baptist. He came in the spirit and power of Elijah and his message, spoken of in Isaiah 40, to God’s people, telling them to prepare themselves for the coming Messiah.

Paul said in Galatians 4:4 that when the time was right God sent His Son Jesus to redeem mankind.

Jesus told us that He would return. The issue is not if but when. If He needed someone to prepare the way for Him then, it is quite possible that ministries like John’s will arise to “prepare the way of the Lord”.
